Basel Zayed

Basel Zayed has been a psychotherapist since 2012, with local and international clinical experience. He is a Professor of Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University and a researcher with the Brain and Behavior Laboratory at Curry College, where he leads his own research lab in music psychology exploring the intersections of music, identity, and mental health. He also works as a music composer and performer.

His clinical work focuses on trauma, identity formation, and life transitions, particularly as they manifest in depression and anxiety, with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity across diverse populations.
